creativeLIVE edit example

On the creativeLIVE workshop I did with the amazing Sue Bryce, I did cover editing but very quickly. So I thought it would be good to show you again. Especially if you are taking part in this project!

Also I wanted to edit up the footage from the live shoot so that Darla and Jeremy have something to show for the mess I made of them! So combining these two objectives, I have made my first editing tutorial which you can see below.
I have to say that it is a little speedy. If you are just starting out you may need to play over certain sections a couple of times!

However as a free little starter guide I hope you enjoy!

Now a very cut down version of how we got there:

Hey Hailey, I just wanted to thank you and Sue for the amazing workshop on CreativeLive. I was so motivated after the workshop that I finally decided to start my new business and do video for a living. Here’s my entry for the 30 day filming project, I would love your input on this. Have a great weekend!

HEY HAILEY! Great video ! I love it and it’s really helpful! I just have a couple of questions tough… I always convert the videos in Apple Pro Ress 422 HD, so why LT? What is the diference? Also, do you record your videos with Canon 5D Mark II? in that case, video can only be recorded at 25 fps right? because i’m trying so bad to get a good slow motion but I can’t… :( THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

    hi Sandra

Can’t help you with info on difference in conversion types…not much of a tech head here!! but google is your friend! and I love for info like this Philip Bloom blog. However I can tell you the 5dm2 doesn’t have slow mo… you need to get either the 5dm3 or the 7d also has it…;) (it will have filming option of 50fps)
